Busy Work

I have been working like crazy to get all of these video requests complete. After 'Blast Off', artists have been hittin me up trying to do videos. the Big C video was a widely popular success, and he is trying to do another video asap. Im good with that. Anything I can do to support these artists, Im gonna do it. That's what the discount is all about. It gives these artists an opportunity to get their music heard through the visual medium that they normally wouldnt be able to afford or normally wouldnt be comfortable spending money on. With a discount, they will probably consent to doing a video. This gives me the window I need to showcase my skill, and that would most likely prompt the artists to do further work with me, like Da Hunnid Boyz and Big C did. That being said, I have put my own label's videos on the backburner... but that is all changing. Last Night I Finished the "I'm In There" video. It is mainly just a visual that we decided to shoot and produce, to give the public an insight to the mixtapes we have upcoming. "My Brother's Keeper 2" and "No Rearview" are both mixtapes that are almost complete and ready to drop. "I'm In There" is the first single from MBK2, and we are going to use this video to promote that mixtape. I am working on the second video for "Cypher" also off MBK2. No Rearview videos are in the planning process. Stay tuned...

SEE VIDEOS TO THE RIGHT..

IM IN THERE COMING SOON!

My Latest Video!

This is the latest video from Innovative Instincts Productions! Big C used to work with me at KSWO, our local TV station. He came to me after he saw my 'Blast Off' video and told me he was interested in doing a video to one of his freestyle songs. After about a week of waiting while he chose a song, he sent me the song he wanted to do the video to. We scheduled the shoot, recorded the video, and I had it completely edited in three days. I brought it to him, and he loved it. We handled business very professionally, and the entire process went smoothly. Shout to Big C. Innovative Instincts 2011.

New Production Company

I have created a new production company called Innovative Insticnts Productions. It is a combination of video production, DJ service for parties, weddings, occasions, etc., and CD/DVD distribution and packaging. I have invested heavily in a brand new HD video camera, a company logo, and brand new DJ equipment. I haven't gotten everything I need yet, but if things keep moving the way they have been, I'll be there in no time. My first weekend of business was busy, but I think I really have found my niche. I filmed, directed and produced a video for my homies Da Hunnid Boyz called "Got Dat Chevy" from their Seriously Hunnid mixtape. The video has been praised widely by viewers, and has become the most viewed of my videos on my YouTube channel. (and I've got some on their from a couple of years ago). It's only been 8 days since I posted the video. I also served as the DJ for my homeboys wedding this past Saturday night and another of my friends weddings on Sunday night. Both weddings went extremely well for my first times. I really love and know music, and I know audiences, so being a DJ is probably going to earn some cash for me. needless to say, I have some catching up to do on the money I've dropped for the equipment, but the skills I will acquire and build throughout my years will undoubtedly build, and with it will the revenue. I think these are all wise investments, and I thank my friends who have helped out on my first projects for having confidence in me and my work. If there's anything you think should improve, trust me I notice it as well, and things will only get better from here. For everyone else, thanks for the support and KEEP showin love in the future! Stay tuned...

Upcoming Mixtape with Dolla Boi

Follow Me

The 'No Rearview' Mixtape is in the works. It is an effort by myself, Jae Rae, and my indie labelmate Dolla Boi. A lot of artists are doing mixtapes in our city, and doing them well. We have simple primary objectives in compiling this mixtape. We mainly seek to improve our production capabilities. In the efforts past, the overall sound quality/production of the songs we were releasing were.. let's say.. inadequate. People were not listening to us. With my latest solo mixtape, 'Raider Nation', I was able to reach new listeners, and acquire new connections with people outside our city with the help of my partner and best friend Brittney Waugh. So, I do not believe that our talent is lacking or that our message is irrelevant. Speaking of messages, I have personally adopted a new idea when dealing with songwriting. I vow to compose more music about me. My life. My thoughts. The Real Me. I have never been a phony on wax, but it is my personal mission to ensure that the music I release from now on speaks to those who can relate. Basically... NO MORE NURSERY RHYMING. This brings me to our second mission as a duo. It is to draw in new QUALITY audiences. We are thankful for every listener and supporter we can get, but if we are putting out the best, most relevant music we know how to make, then we couldn't care less if we don't reach certain audiences. Bottom line, we are going to put out music that serves as an outlet FOR us and an window INTO us. Our last mission with this mixtape is to create it because we want to stay true to ourselves. While doing my best to NOT speak for Dolla Boi, I can personally state that I couldn't care twice if I make it to the 'Big Leagues' with my work. What I WILL do is give the music the REAL me... at all times. Whether I'm goofin off or givin you real spit.. Itll be the real me. It'll be the REAL Dolla Boi, D Star, Groove and Freeze. We WILL stay true to who we are day in, day out, every verse, every hook. That being said, when No Rearview is finished, All Star Recordz will release a solo effort mixtape/album before another collaborative effort is compiled. So, we are here to stay. I hope you stay with us. We've got stories to tell. Real Life ones. No Rearview, Jae Rae and Dolla Boi. Coming Soon.
